Conditions on South East Cornwall’s roads continue to be extremely difficult this morning and police are advising against all travel unless absolutely essential.

The A30 eastbound is partially blocked at Bodmin due to a broken down lorry at Carminow Cross.

The A390 has been closed both ways due to snow between the B3362 Ford Street (Tavistock) and Commercial Street in Gunnislake

The A38 through the Glynn Valley has been cleared overnight and is open.

Many of the district’s minor roads remain impassable.

CORMAC has been out ploughing main routes overnight to clear them of snow, and gritters were deployed again first thing this morning – but strong winds are bringing further snow back onto the carriageways. Cornwall Council is urging motorists ‘only travel if absolutely necessary’.
