A car on fire at the filling station on the Trerulefoot roundabout caused chaos on the A38 on Saturday afternoon when the road had to be closed for a time.

Police initiated a 200m cordon around the burning Citroen Saxo as fire appliances from Saltash and Liskeard dealt with the blaze, which was reported by a number of callers. On arrival firefighters found the car was well alight.
