The A38 east of Liskeard is now reported to have reopened at 1.50pm following a crash which occurred between two vehicles near the Island Shop junction at around 9.20am.

The South West Ambulance Service reports that two people have been taken to hospital following the accident – the Cornish Times was told that the Air Ambulance was seen landing near the site of the accident this morning.

A section of the road that was closed between Liskeard and Trerulefoot has reopened, though traffic may still be heavy as the backlog of vehicles clears.
