THE A38 at the Parkway in Plymouth reopened at 4pm this afternoon following a fatal accident this morning.
Police were called shortly before 7am to the dual carriageway between Marsh Mills and Leigham following reports of a collision involving a person.
A man was confirmed deceased at the scene
Officers are keen to hear from anyone who was travelling in the area around that time and may have relevant dash cam footage.
Anyone with any information which may assist the investigation is asked to contact police on 101 quoting log 153 of 8 October.
The Westbound carriageway was closed between the Marsh Mills Roundabout and the B3413 Forder Valley Road (Forder Valley Interchange, Plymouth) for nearly nine hours while accident investigation work took place.
