LISKEARD Athletic boss Martin Burgess missed this 3-2 victory over a young Torquay United outfit, with assistant Kevin Harley masterminding the victory.

With the exception of Robbie Herrera and Jack Washburn, this was the Gulls' youth squad but they certainly played good football and had enough chances to have gained at least a draw.

Dan Sullivan fired just wide of Chris Wearing's goal from the edge of the area but it was Liskeard, playing down the Lux Park slope, who had the majority of the first-half possession.

Torquay always looked dangerous on the break and a great long pass from Sullivan found Jack May who slipped a first time pass into the path of Jordan Campbell but Wearing managed to tip, at full stretch, his 18-yard drive over the bar.
