SALTASH held on to their lead at the top of Tribute Cornwall One with a convincing 39-0 victory over Bodmin.

The fourth-placed hosts have impressed against most teams in the division, but last Saturday was an exception as they didn't manage to score any points.

The Ashes were delighted with their first-half performance, even if Bodmin made it very easy for them, and the 29 points they scored gave them the bonus point.

Saltash scored through flanker Ben Devonport and fly-half Joe Skinnard, who bagged two apiece, wing Josh Tolan and full-back Max Venables.

Venables also added a penalty and three conversions to seal the win.
