A FIELD of 62 players took part in the Lady Captain's Day at St Mellion International Resort.

The overall winner, with 40 points, was Val Spicer. Sue Wenmoth claimed victory in the the Silver Division with 35 points, while Jean Dransfield took the Bronze honours with 38 points.

Other prizes included the Granny Cup, which was won by Sue Davies, and the Vets Cup, clinched by Ruth Blake.

The event raised an impressive total of £765 for Lady Captain Geraldine Howley's Charity – Little Harbour, Children's Hospice South West.
