ONCE again the weather disrupted this Jolly's Cornwall Cricket League Premier Division fixture between Truro and Callington but, thankfully, the game started just 75 minutes late, thus reducing the overs to 45 per side.
Matt Robins won the toss and asked Truro to bat first. In the sixth over and with just ten on the board, Jim Shorten removed Adam Pascoe thanks to another Joe White catch.
Aidan Libby struck three overs later when Tim Marrion edged a catch to Andy Libby at first slip.
Tom Sharp was celebrating the recent birth of his son, Ravi, and he again proved to be a stubborn opponent as he doggedly hung around for 149 minutes for a hard fought half-century.
