SALTASH put consecutive League and FA Cup defeats behind them to comfortably beat struggling Villa.

Midfielder Aaron Cusack was the star of the show and, after being denied by a great save from Simon May, he fired Ashes into a 25th- minute lead with a low drive from 15 yards.

He then provided the corner from which the Ashes doubled their lead four minutes later, when Rikki Allen was on hand to knock the ball home from close range.
