Callington v. Redruth
HEAVY thunder showers reduced this match to 68 overs, with Callington pleased to win the toss and inviting Redruth to take first knock.
Harry Bolland and Nigel Hambly looked assured as they put on 42, before Dan Davis took a sharp low return catch to dismiss Hambly for 22.
Dangerman Christian Purchase had hit a four and a six before he lost his woodwork – again to Davis.
Matt Robins caught Bolland off his own bowling after the opener had scored 31, and then left-arm spinner Andrew Libby took out the next three, including Mark Jenkin, who had also scored 31.
Robins and Andrew Libby shared the last two wickets to fall, as Redruth posted 152 after their 34 overs.
Andrew Libby was the best bowler with four for 35 from ten.
The soft centre of Callington's batting was again exposed, as they were dismissed for just 91 in 30.1 overs.
