LISKEARD's first team picked up a first, and well-deserved, win of the season.

With regular first-team captain and leading run-scorer Jamie Coates absent, it was left to vice-captain Matt Mackay to lead his young team into battle.

The visitors lost the toss and were asked to bowl first on a dry wicket.

New signing Seb Jordan took the new ball and made an immediate impact, sending Werrington opener Jonathon Bye back to the pavilion second ball of the match.
