FOLLOWING their superb victory over W H Bond in the semi-finals of the Isaac Foot Cup, Liskeard won the toss and elected to bat against the reigning champions, Callington Social Club.

Jim Maunder was called in to the Liskeard side after Nathan Lister pulled a muscle in the semis, but he soon departed to Andy Brenton in the fourth over.

And when Andrew Cobb followed him two balls later, Liskeard looked like they might struggle.

The father and son partnership of Jamie and Joe Coates put on 41 in the next five overs as Liskeard looked to post a challenging total.

When both Coates fell, it was left to Louie Lister and Ben Collins to produce an excellent partnership of 55 runs in seven overs as the team posted 155 for six.
