Jasmine Hoey has earned her black belt after attending the JKA England National Black Belt Examination.

A student of Looe Shotokan Karate Club, Jasmine passed her first Dan black belt grading under Japan Karate Association England chief Instructor Sensei Yoshinobu Ohta 7th Dan.

Looe Shotokan Karate Club chief instructor David Kirsopp said: ‘I am very proud of her achievement as only a small percentage of students who start karate make it this far.’
