LOOE Golf Club’s lady vets recently played their annual 12-hole singles competition off the blues in memory of former member Jane Kelley.

Bob Kelley again kindly sponsored the event, while an excellent sum of £268 was raised on the morning for the Cornwall Blood Bikes through entry, generous donations and an in-house competition. Several non playing members also attended to support the occasion.

The winner with 30 points was Carol Stevens, three ahead of ladies handicap secretary Margie Bunton, while lady captain Jill Westbrook took third with 25 points on countback.

Nearest the pin on the first in one was Margie Bunton and nearest the pin in two was Jane Tate.

Thanks go to lady vets captain Patsy Butler, Jax Wailes and Margie Bunton for organising and assisting with the running of the event.
