TORPOINT Athletic will travel to Western League premier division side Bradford Town in the third round of the FA Vase.

Bradford, based in Bradford on Avon near Bath, beat Brimscombe and Thrupp 5-0 on Wednesday night in a second round replay.

Torpoint manager Dan Cole said: ’We are excited about the match. It’s another Western League side, and another away tie, but we’re up for the challenge.

’We will be underdogs again but we’ll give it our best shot. We have nothing to lose.’

Cole suggested away games possibly suited his side. He said: ’At home there seems to be more pressure on the boys to get a result, because there are so many people there watching, and it’s a bit daunting for the players.

’But away from home we are a small group and we tend to play with more freedom.’

Torpoint beat Western League premier division side Clevedon Town 1-0 on Saturday with a Lewis Young goal.
