After promotion in May and a summer of ground improvements at Jenkins Park, Millbrook are set to make their return to the Carlsberg South West Peninsula League premier division on Tuesday evening.
The game against Saltash United is a 6.30pm kick-off because work is continuing on the installation of floodlights.
And while there has been plenty of upheaval off the field - of the building variety - little has changed on the pitch.
Millbrook manager Mackenzie Brown said: ’We’ve retained everyone from last season that I wanted to keep.
’They earned the right to play in this division, so I’m looking forward to seeing them step up.’Millbrook have signed three players - goalkeeper Chris Wearing from Callington, Liam Thornton from Torpoint, and a young left back, Sam Morcom after he impressed in pre-season training.Saltash have similarly kept a very settled squad, only bringing in their former captain Lewis Russell after one season at Bodmin. In pre-season they have also blooded several second team players and one of them, right back Caleb Summerfield, will be part of the first team squad this season.Manager Matt Cusack said: 'It's been a positive pre-season for us. My team are ready and look forward to the Millbrook game.'
