LISKEARD Athletic goalkeeper Luke Gwillam has been named in the Cornwall squad for their Under 18 FA Youth Cup third round tie against Lancashire at St Blazey on Saturday, December 10 (noon kick-off).

Cornwall face an extremely tough task. Lancashire, tournament winners in 2014, progressed to this round by defeating holders Liverpool FA 4-2.

Manager Glynn Hooper will be quietly confident his Cornwall side can get a result, though, having overseen some excellent performances so far this season, including the stunning 7-0 win over Gloucestershire in the last round.

The squad has developed a great spirit this season and with a home tie against Essex or Sussex in the quarter-finals there is every incentive for the squad.

Cornwall FA spokesman Richard Pallot said: ‘We would love as many people down at St Blazey as possible to come and support the team as it is really appreciated by all the players, management and Cornwall FA.’
