Carlsberg South West Peninsula League leaders Saltash United will be looking to bounce back to form on Saturday when they face Bodmin Town at Kimberley Stadium (3pm kick-off).

The Ashes lost only their second premier division game of the season last Saturday when beaten 1-0 at Helston but remain top by two points and with a game in hand on Tavistock.

Reigning champions Bodmin are 10 points adrift in sixth place but have two games in hand on Saltash, although they had an indifferent festive period.

They slumped to a shock 2-1 defeat at struggling Camelford on Boxing Day before being held to a 3-3 draw by Tiverton Town Reserves at Priory Park last Saturday.

Darren Gilbert’s side fought back from 2-0 down at half-time to lead 3-2 before an equaliser from Tiverton in time added on at the end.

Saltash are looking to complete a rare league double over Bodmin, having won 2-1 at Priory Park on August 13.
