Christmas Eve morning should see Cornish-born actor Royce Pierreson turning out for Saltash Under 29s in a charity match against Saltash Over 29s.
The match, which kicks off at 11am at Saltmill Park in Saltash, is in aid of Kits4Causes.
Kits4Causes is part of a project run by former St Stephens Borough secretary Julian Chenery.
It is a charity based in the UK that collects unwanted sports equipment and distributes it to social development projects around the world predominantly in Africa.
Last season’s match raised £375 and a whole host of kits for good measure.
To support the appeal anyone attending the game is asked to bring in old items of sports kit to donate. In the absence of a kit donation an entry fee of £1 will be collected to go to Kits4Causes.
The match has been sponsored by Crash Repair Centre, Saltash, and the man of the match award by Ryan James Heating & Plumbing.
The match is followed by celebratory drinks at Saltash United Football Club. There will also be a raffle.
