Menheniot-Looe Cricket Club have thanked Sterts Singers for their support of the club’s junior cricket activities.

A £680 donation has been made by the Singers, and Menheniot-Looe treasurer Bill Simpson said: ‘This enables the club to provide a fun and safe environment for the children to enjoy their cricket. We sincerely hope that this is just the beginning of an amazing partnership between the two of us.’

Tricia Conbeer, on behalf of Sterts Singers, said: ‘We take great pleasure at giving this cheque for £680 to Menheniot-Looe, to help fund their ongoing youth coaching programme.

‘We raise funds from the concerts that we perform during the winter months, and any money that is left after expenses is shared with two or three deserving causes.

‘It is so good to see so many young people, boys and girls, learning the basics of cricket. Congratulations to Alan Sedgley and his team for the progress they are making within the AllStars programme.’
