Young singers, dancers and musicians will be bursting onto stage this week as part of the Liskeard Concert Series.

The Young Performers Concert will showcase the talents of 80 children and teenagers who are part of choirs, and dance and theatre groups in the area.

Soloists Elowen Waters, Samantha Rowe and Emily Morozow will be joined by youngsters from the Caradon Youth Choir and Caradon Junk Funk Percussion Band, the Nicky Brice Ballet School, and the Sterts summer production of Bugsy Malone.

Organising the event are Kate Rogers and Nic Early, who run three of the ensembles performing on the night.

Last year, the Liskeard Concert Series launched a new initiative to support young up-and-coming local performers and their pursuits in the arts,’ said Nic.

‘This year’s first concert continues in the same vein.

‘It promises to be a superb, high-energy evening not to be missed – with over 80 young performers involved, there’s something for everyone.’

The Young Performers Concert will take place at the Public Hall on Friday, March 31, at 7.30pm.
