Superdrug has confirmed it has taken over the former Woolworths store in Liskeard. The building has stood vacant since Woolworths closed its doors at the end of 2008.

The UK's second largest health and beauty retailer had been one of several big stores rumoured to be in talks about the property on Fore Street. Work started on the new store this week. It will open later this year.
