The Actors Wheel theatre company based at the University of St Mark and St John in Plymouth takes an exciting production of Shakespeare’s The Winter’s Tale on a South West tour that includes Sterts Theatre at Upton Cross, near Liskeard.

It’s a retelling of the Bard’s most enigmatic work of love, jealously and redemption.

Performers from The Actors Wheel are first year acting students but are treated as professional actors from day one.

They are expected to work a 9-5 day with strict rules preparing them for the real world of theatre and film.

Last year’s production of Faustus received rave reviews from audiences who were ’held spellbound as the story unfolded through a cast which was in top form, brimming with wit and ingenuity in their interpretation. The breathless choreographed climax brought the audience to its feet and a standing ovation.’
