Pixieland Day Nursery in Saltash celebrated its first birthday in style on Saturday, with a visit from former Page Three girl Linda Lusardi. Linda, who is now appearing as the Wicked Queen in the Theatre Royal's pantomime Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs, cut the ribbon to mark the beginning of an open day and birthday party at the nursery. Since her modelling days Linda Lusardi has become an actress and is soon to join the cast of emmerdale. She signed autographs outside the nursery and was greeted by a large crowd who had gathered. During the party there was balloon modelling, face painting, a magician and a ball pool. Nursery manager Suzie MacLeod, who welcomed Linda to the event, later joined the mayor and mayoress of Saltash, Joe and Clare Ellison, in the cutting of a birthday cake and toured the nursery. Four-year-old Ethan Braid presented a basket of flowers to the mayoress. Caroline Francis, the owner of the Cross Park Pixieland, attended the celebrations in the morning. The nursery uses five rooms and an outside play area next to St Stephen's school.
