LOOE angler Rob Norton qualified for automatic membership of the British Conger Club when he hooked this mighty eel.
Fishing from Dave Bond's Mystique II, over an inshore reef mark between Looe and Polperro, Rob was 10 minutes from the end of the session when he thought he had snagged on the bottom. However, 15 minutes after trying to clear his line, he boated a superb 37-lb 4-oz conger. The eel was later returned unharmed to fight another day.
