A yellow warning of snow and ice has been issued for the region between midday tomorrow (Tuesday) to 11am on Wednesday.

Heavy rain tomorrow afternoon is likely to turn wintry, with hill snow predicted for the higher ground in the LIskeard and Bodmin Moor areas, late afternoon and evening, continuing into the early hours of Wednesday. Other areas will have rain and wintry showers. Temperatures will drop overnight to -3°C. By 9am on Wednesday, the temperature will creep up to 2°C but will feel like -2°C. Rain will move in on Wednesday morning followed by sunny spells, but it will continue to feel cold, with a further frost on Wednesday night.
