The campaign for a cinema and bowling alley in the centre of Liskeard will continue.
Mayor Tony Powell said this month that there is 'absolutely no space' for an entertainment complex within any proposed cattle market development.
He later suggested that the facility could be housed out of town.
But cinema campaigner Katrina Dawe told the Cornish Times this week: 'I disagree that there isn't enough room at the cattle market.
