Fancy a charity stroll around Charlestown?
Royal Cornwall Hospitals Charity is hosting its third annual Walk for Wards fundraising event around Charlestown on Saturday, June 18 starting at St Austell Community Hospital.
You can sign up for a 10km challenge walk taking in some of the stunning coastal path or a family fun pirate theme 2km treasure hunt. Registration is 10am to 11am before the challenge walk leaves at 11. The pirate children’s crew will ‘set sail’ at 12 noon dressed to the nines and ready to seek out the booty!!
Once your walking adventures are complete, there’ll be an opportunity to enjoy a free cakey-tea.
’This year’s walk has been inspired by the wonderful locations used in the BBC’s Poldark series, which included filming at Charlestown,’ explains RCHT Fundraising Manger, Jessica Silye.
Pirates and participants are asked to raise a minimum of £15 for any area of the hospital that means something to them or for RCHT Charity’s general fund. For those raising £30 or more there’s a free Walk for Wards T shirt to wear on the day.
Make sure you register for free before you come at www.bity.ly/RCHTW4W but if you need any help call Jess on 01872 252858.
