Fifteen people in one village have been celebrating this week after winning £1,000 each.

The  neighbours in Gunnislake netted the windfall when PL18 9BD was announced as a Daily Prize winner with People’s Postcode Lottery on Tuesday.

A minimum of 32% of ticket sales goes directly to charities and this particular draw was promoted by Crisis. The organisation, which helps homeless people through education, housing, employment and health services, has received £3.2 million in total from the Lottery.

Many good causes close to winners have also benefitted from players’ support, and local charities can next apply for funding in August.
