A GROUP of 12 friends from South East Cornwall has returned from a once-in-lifetime hike on Peru’s challenging Inca Trail.
Under the banner of ‘Peru Dreckly’, the 12 women walked 30 mountainous miles over three days to unfurl the Cornish flag at Machu Picchu. In the process they raised around £5,500 for St Luke’s Hospice, the Cornwall Air Ambulance and Parkinson’s UK.
The Peru Dreckly team will be giving an illustrated talk about their trip next Friday (November 20) at the Royal British Legion Hall in Tideford, from 7pm.
