Traffic lights installed at Castle Street, Liskeard, are a 'great improvement' according to the town council, allowing traffic to flow more smoothly. Castle Street residents are 'delighted' and motorists have reacted positively to the changes.

The decision to install traffic lights on the route was made after residents strongly opposed traffic calming measures put in place in October 2009. The scheme meant only a single lane of traffic could pass through, with traffic leaving the town having the priority.
