SALTASH was packed on Saturday for the 33rd annual May Fair.

The day began in sunshine but even heavy showers later did not deter visitors from enjoying the stalls and entertainment.

Chairman Peter Stephens said the May Fair was one of highlights in Saltash's year and he could understand why the town had been declared 'the best postcode area in the country in which to live', adding that there was a real sense of community.
