An energetic evening is promised as the Tamar Valley plays host to one of the South West’s most sought-after ceilidh bands.

Blue Jewel are known for the quality of their musicianship as well as the relaxed, fun and helpful approach of their caller Kip Pratt.

While focusing mainly on Irish tunes on fiddle and bazouki, the band also throw in dances from elsewhere in Europe.

The group’s members have a background in music education and professional performance with ensembles such as the Haldon Quartet and the Ten Tors Orchestra.
