More than 90 people took part in an event designed to push sleepy Coombe Junction Halt away from its position next to the bottom of the league table of British railway stations.
But in one day on Saturday (May 14), members of Liskeard Walkers hope to have more than quadrupled that figure.
A large group walked to the station and boarded the 10.52am single-carriage train for the last leg of its journey from Looe to Liskeard.
The junction is so little used compared to the rest of the popular branch line because it lies on a spur at the bottom of the incline leading into Liskeard.
