HENRY Winkler – The Fonz from the legendary Happy Days television show – will be visiting schools in South East Cornwall next week. The actor, who has gained a younger fan base as Mr Rock in the BBC comedy series Hank Zipzer, will talk to pupils about his struggles to overcome dyslexia as a child. Despite his dyslexia, Henry achieved cult status as an actor, going on to write the Hank Zipzer books based on his own childhood experiences. 'Every child has brilliance inside them,' he said. 'It is their job to dig it out and give it to the world. I cannot wait to see who they become.' The tour of schools is taking place as part of Achievement for All's My Way! campaign which helps vulnerable and disadvantaged children. Henry will visit Brunel school in Saltash on Tuesday and Liskeard Hillfort school on Thursday.
