Many thanks to the four teenagers who stopped and summoned help for a lady who had collapsed in Victoria Gardens, Saltash, on Monday, January 8. They stayed with the lady and they got help from adjacent Maurice Huggins Room, one putting a towel under the collapsed's head and another phoning for professional help, waiting until it arrived and beyond. The lady on duty at Maurice Huggins Room was most grateful for their support and caring attitude. Their action is most commendable.
MAURICE HUGGINS MANAGEMENT COMMITTEE
I would like to say a special thank you to the two guys (sorry, names not known) who have collected the refuse for the nine years I have been here. Their politeness and manner in every respect warrants my full praise and best wishes for 2007.
ROY FOX Cremyll May I send my thanks publicly to the fire service who came immediately to put out our accidental fire – despite the weather! – and left us with a sense of great relief that it was well and truly dealt with! My admiration and respect and sincere gratitude to them all!
D.R. Addington Liskeard.
Over the Christmas period I had cause to take my mother to the Minor Injuries Unit at Liskeard, resulting in visits three times a week. Each and every time all the staff have been wonderful! May I through your paper say a big thank you to them all. Let's hope this most valuable service remains. Jean Woodman Sunrising Looe
