Pedestrians, cyclists and mobility scooter users will be bussed across the Tamar Bridge from this evening onwards as work is carried out to maintain the bridge.

The waterproofing system on the main central deck is set to be replaced, and while this work is being carried out, vehicles will be using the south cantilever. This section of the bridge will be closed to anyone on foot or using a bike or scooter for the duration of the scheme. Pedestrians and cyclists are asked not to use the north cantilever lane, or to mix with traffic on the main deck for safety reasons.

The free shuttle bus will stop at the Tamar Bridge car park and in Fore Street, Saltash. It will run every 15 minutes during the day and every 20 minutes at night
