East Cornwall Riding Club held its annual dinner and dance at Trelaske on Saturday when a surprise presentation was given to three long standing members.

Gill Ford joined the EC Riding Club soon after its inception in 1970 and was secretary for many years being chairman most recently.

Marcia Bond has competed and been on the committee for over 20 years lastly as secretary.

Janet Owen has been show secretary and organiser of many events especially dessage.

All three have given freely of their time and were thanked and presented with engraved glass cookie jars by present chairman Velven Harding.

Annual trophy winners this year were: most points - Mandy Bailey riding Buzzards Reach; equal second, Amanda Goodman and Cathy Hatch; 4th Louise Congdon; 5th Dawn Mitchell; 6th Fiona Renfree.

Best novice hurdle: Reality ridden by Cathy Hatch. Most improved novice rider, Louise Congdon.
