Crowds enjoyed warm sunshine in the village of Forder, Saltash, when the community’s annual fete was held. Saltash Town Band led a procession, which included mayor Hilary Frank, consort Shojiro Frank and the May Fair queen and princesses, onto the green by the river. Welcomed by Francis Russell, of Forder, the mayor opened the event and was presented with flowers by Kate Mugglestone. The mayor thanked Carole Brown who organised the fete with a committee. Music was a provided by singer/guitarist Andrea Cohen and the town band, and proceeds were for ShelterBox. Sixteen sailing dinghies crewed by cadets from Saltash Sailing Club took part in the annual race to Forder as part of the event.
