Hall for Cornwall’s 2016 Summer Season sees the high-kicking West End and Broadway musical hit  Chicago, and the legendary British actor Michael Pennington  leading a distinguished cast on stage in an epic new interpretation of Shakespeare’s greatest tragedy, King Lear, marking the 400th  anniversary of the playwright’s death. 

A wealth of family entertainment includes the timeless family classic The Sound of Music opening in August, Thriller Live moonwalking into town  direct from London’s West End and a welcome return to Dinosaur Zoo, introducing an extraordinary and life-like Tyrannosaurus Rex to the stage.

Leading physical theatre company Spy Monkey bring their hilariously dark production of the critically acclaimed The Complete Deaths to HFC in May, whilst the writing team behind Murder, She Wrote  and Columbo present a brand new play, Rehearsal For Murder, in July. 

Other favourites include Birmingham Royal Ballet, world class live jazz from Ronnie Scott’s All Stars and an homage to the late, great David Bowie with a spectacular concert, The Bowie Experience.
