The Sue Ryder charity is opening a superstore in Saltash today.

Located in the Carkeel Gateway Retail Park if offers 4,500 square feet selling high-quality second-hand furniture, white goods and clothing at bargain prices.

Councillor Sam Davey will open the doors at 10am and Sue Ryder staff will be on hand to guide shoppers around the store and talk about volunteering opportunities.

Nicola Smith, Sue Ryder retail area manager said: ‘We’re excited to open the first Sue Ryder shop in Saltash – and one of our new line of ‘superstores’ too. The space allows us to sell larger items like furniture and white goods as well as a wider choice of goods.

‘Anyone interested in volunteering is welcome to pop in for a chat with our friendly team. We would love some help on the sales desk and with sorting donations and testing portable appliances. No experience is necessary as training is provided, and volunteering is a great way to meet people and pick up new skills.

‘Donations can be dropped off at the store and items of furniture can be picked up from your home for free when you fill out the form at www.sueryder.org/furniture.
