Residents are being urged to help tidy up and support Liskeard’s ‘Plastic Free Community’ status.
A spring clean will be taking place in the town tomorrow (April 13) and will focus on collecting up discarded bottles and other plastic items from Castle Park, the Sungirt and Melrose area, and around Lanchard and Melbourne Road.
Plastic Free Liskeard spokesperson Tristram Besterman said: ‘Just come in sensible clothes and footwear. If you have them, bring gardening gloves, too. We will provide everything else – including refreshments.’
Participants should meet at the Scout Hut in Castle Park at 10am.
