Environmental charity Keep Britain Tidy runs its biggest ever campaign, The Great British Spring Clean (taking place from March 3 to 5), attempting to get 500,000 members of the British public out cleaning up their local community.

Among events Cornwall, Fathoms Free, a marine conservation organisation, will be holding a beach clean at Port Gaverne, where a team of divers will be heading into the sea to conduct underwater debris and ghost gear retrievals, as well as a baby lobster release.

There is also a litter pick taking place at Gwithian Beach on Friday afternoon, where the Cornish Seal Sanctuary and friends will be out clearing rubbish and collecting data for the Marine Conservation Society.

Everyone is welcome to join with free entry to the sanctuary for anyone who gets involved.
