Hundreds of people were expected to attend the funeral yesterday of a popular teenage musician who died in a car crash. Ollie Naismith was killed instantly in the single vehicle crash when his car left the A38 near Carkeel roundabout on Sunday, December 6 – weeks after his 19th birthday. Well known for his 'tremendous musical talent' and ability to play the guitar, which he had learnt from the late Bodmin musician Al Hodge, Ollie leaves behind his parents, Maxine and John, and his younger sister, Tori. A special surfing tribute was paid to the teenager by his friends last Thursday. Around 70 people met at Seaton Beach, with lanterns in his memory, before hitting the waves at Portwrinkle.
