The Liskeard Annual Sponsored Swimathon will take place on Saturday, November 23 at Lux Park Leisure Centre.

Individuals and teams of around five people can enter and it is open to all ages providing entrants can swim a 25 metre length of the pool.

Each individual or team will be allocated a 30 minute swimming slot, with teams swimming in relay. Entry is free but organisers are asking swimmers to raise as much as possible in sponsorship.

Sponsorship can be split, with 40 per cent going to a chosen club or charity and the remaining 60 per cent to the Liskeard branch of the British Heart Foundation who are organising the event.

All participants will receive a certificate, and trophies will be awarded for special performances.
