A community centre will be celebrating its past life as a junior school with photos, memories, games and even a tuck shop.
The Liskerrett Community Centre in Liskeard is marking its 20th birthday as part of Heritage Open Days this weekend.
The building was originally the Varley Lane Junior School - and there’ll be a special ‘School’s Out’ event on Friday to which all are welcome.
‘The school bell will be rung at 10am and teachers will be ready to meet the grown-up class of 2019,’ said a spokesperson.
‘There’ll be lots of activities on offer until noon including crafts and games, and a tuck shop stocked with flying saucers, sherbet dips and other goodies.’
An exhibition of Varley Lane School and Liskerrett Community Centre memories will be also open on Friday from 9am - 5pm, and Saturday from 10am - 2pm.
The Liskerrett Centre is just one location of around 15 to be opening its doors to the public this weekend - for the full programme go to www.visitliskeard.co.uk
