ATF Youth Coffee Bar, 11 Market Street, Liskeard, provides a safe environment for young people primarily between 13 to 18 years of age. It is vital for young people of this age to have an advancement of education promoting their personal and social welfare, without the unhealthy temptations found on the streets.
A TF (Against The Flow) has a workforce of 21 volunteer Christian staff and is open on Friday and Saturday evenings. On average, 40 to 80 young people visit the premises during an evening. The Local Constabulary support A.T.F. by patrolling the area during opening hours.
Finances are met through donations from various churches and members of their congregation. Other activities, such as sponsored events, provide for the up-keep and further equipment purchase. Charitable status has been gained.
ATF plays a very important role within the local community, without it where would the young people be?
ATF thanks all those who continuously support their much needed work, financially and prayerfully.
