Two women working for Addaction Cornwall, which provides support for people with drug and alcohol-related problems, are to run in an obstacle race for charity funds.

Jaime Salter, a team leader at the charity’s outreaches in Liskeard and Bodmin, and Sara Frost, a team leader at St Austell, plan to take part in ‘The Reaper’ 10km race in Coventry on Saturday, March 25, a race taking ‘competitors to the ragged edge of endurance’.

The duo previously signed up for Rock Solid last year for Addaction; The Pretty Muddy 5k in September for Cancer Research UK; and The Scrooge seven-mile mud run in the Lost Gardens of Heligan for Cornish charities.

Jaime said: ‘We’re basically mud running obstacle course race fanatics now. We also want to show our staff and service users that a healthy lifestyle, with regular exercise and fun but safe challenges, are important to well-being and therefore a holistic recovery.’
