The revellers were definitely out in force in Torpoint for New Year.

All decked up in fancy dress, from cowboys to Paddington Bear, the roads leading to the ferry lanes were packed with folk of all ages joining in the fun.

A spokesperson said: “At the stroke of midnight ships’ horns blew and fireworks were let off to start the fun, plenty of hugs all round it was a rowdy but peaceful evening by all. Happy 2023.”
