Members of the county's education committee have been told that a neighbour of the outdoor education centre at Delaware has approached the county with a request to purchase a small area of land opposite his property.

Councillors were told the area of land in question is around 15.6 square metres and forms part of the centre's site - however its sale will not have any detrimental affect on operations there.

It was recommended that the committee declares the area surplus to its requirements.
